IREBS Istanbul Reconstructive Breast Cancer Workshop 2021 (IREBS 2021 Virtual)
On 3 October 2020, SENATURK started a postgraduate virtual education programme on breast surgery for general surgery residents currently under training in Turkey as a joint project with Turkish Surgical Society.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak related interruptions at its regular in-person educational meetings, SENATURK started to organize regular webinars about breast cancer management in May 2020 under the name “CONNECT SENATURK”.
Breastanbul 2020 Virtual was held online on 17-18 October 2020.
SENATURK president Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu has become a member of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) Resource-Stratified Guideline Advisory Group in 2020.
IREBS 2020 was held as an online event both in Turkish and English at two separate weekends on 19-20 September and 26-27 September 2020.
SENATURK representing Turkey has joined Central and Eastern European Association of Oncology (CEEAO) as one of the stakeholders and founding members.
SENATURK made an agreement with MedStar Hospital in Kishinev, Moldova to give full consultation, training and mentorship for establishing the country’s first comprehensive breast cancer center.
BRESO (European Breast Surgical Oncology Certification) Structure Working Group in which SENATURK is represented by Prof. Gulluoglu recently released its curriculum “Theoretical and practical knowledge curriculum for European Breast Surgeons” as a position paper published in European Journal of Surgical Oncology.
SENATURK initiated a special task force for management of breast cancer during COVID-19 outbreak and held a nationwide consensus procedure.
Breast Gynecological International Cancer Conference was held in Cairo, Egypt on 17-18 January 2019.
SENATURK president Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu participated the 16th St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference held in Wien, Austria during 20-23 March 2019 as guest speaker and consensus panelist.
SENATURK executive committee members Profs. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu, N. Zafer Canturk, Atakan Sezer and S. Ata Guler participated as core faculty members in 7th International Breast Cancer Conference organized in Bucharest, Romania by the Romanian Society of Breast Surgery and Oncology between 6-8 June 2019.
SENATURK’s Breast Ultrasonography (SENUS) Course was held on 25-26 May 2019 in Istanbul Bahcelievler Memorial Hospital.

Prof. Burcu Celet Ozden who is the faculty member of SENATURK at Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department succesfully passed both the written and oral exams of European Board of Surgery Qualification (EBSQ)
SENATURK-Hellenic Society of Breast Surgeons (EXEM) Joint Round Table was held during 7th Annual Congress of Hellenic Society of Breast Surgeons in 1-3 November 2019 in Athens, Greece.
SENATURK organized a joint workshop with Marmara University Hospital and MAYMET on “Skin-Sparing Mastectomy” on 23 November 2019 in Marmara University Hospital, Istanbul.
SENATURK president Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu participated as one of the guest speakers in Milan Oncoplastic Meeting (MBN2019) on 11-14 December 2019 in Milan, Italy.
Prof. Gulluoglu, SENATURK president, was elected as “Deputy Secretary” at UEMS European Board of Surgery, Breast Surgery Division for 2019-2021 term.
Istanbul Reconstructive Breast Surgery (IREBS) Workshop 2019 was held in 21-22 September 2019 at Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey.
6th International Conference of Romanian Society of Breast Oncology and Surgery was held in 1-3 November 2018 in Bucharest.
3rd International Istanbul Breast Cancer Conference was held on 11-13 October 2018 in Istanbul.
6th IREBS Workshop was held on 22-23 September 2018 in Istanbul with the participation of 21 surgeons from various cities across Turkey.
Breastanbul, International Istanbul Breast Cancer Conference, was held in 10-12 November 2016 with more than 700 participants from 25 countries.

SENATURK President Professor Bahadır M. Gulluoglu and First Vice President Professor Nuh Zafer Canturk were invited to 3rd International Symposium of Romanian Society of Breast Surgery and Oncology in Bucharest between 8-10 October 2015 as guest faculty.
The Symposium on “Molecular Oncology in Breast Cancer” which is organized as a joint project by SENATURK and Acibadem University School of Medicine was held in 17 October 2015 in Istanbul.
SENATURK successfully organized its second breast ultrasound course in Istanbul in collaboration with International Breast Ultrasound School (IBUS).

With the partnership of SENATURK, Acibadem University and EuropaDonna, International Istanbul Breast Conference Breastanbul 2014 has been held between 30th September and 2nd October 2014 in Hilton Bosphorus Convention and Exhibition Center.
3rd Istanbul Reconstructive Breast Cancer Surgery (IREBS) Workshop will be organized during 9-10th May 2015 in Istanbul.

Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu, president of SENATURK, has become the member of International Faculty of International Breast Ultrasound School (IBUS) which is the oldest institute on this field since 1991.
Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu, president of SENATURK, visited Tbilisi, Georgia on 28 March 2013 as the representative of European School of Oncology (ESO) along with Prof. David Kaladze, Deputy Chairman of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Russian Cancer Institute and Mrs. Daniela Mengato, Coordinator of Caspian Region Programmes of ESO.
SENATURK and EURAMA (Euro-Asian Society of Breast Diseases) signed a “Letter of Intent” on 23 November 2012 in Istanbul as they further agreed to collaborate on training, research and quality programs in breast care at both European and Asian countries.
