Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu, president of SENATURK, visited Tbilisi, Georgia on 28 March 2013 as the representative of European School of Oncology (ESO) along with Prof. David Kaladze, Deputy Chairman of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Russian Cancer Institute and Mrs. Daniela Mengato, Coordinator of Caspian Region Programmes of ESO.

Prof. Bahadir M. Gulluoglu, president of SENATURK, visited Tbilisi, Georgia on 28 March 2013 as the representative of European School of Oncology (ESO) along with Prof. David Kaladze, Deputy Chairman of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Russian Cancer Institute and Mrs. Daniela Mengato, Coordinator of Caspian Region Programmes of ESO. Prof. Gulluoglu, Prof. Kaladze and Mrs. Mengato made contacts with Dr. Rema Gvamichava and Dr. Ioseb Abesadze, executive managers of Tbilisi Cancer Prevention Centers as well as Italian and Czech Republic Diplomatic Envoys to Georgia for organizing in-service training programmes for oncology care services for South Caucasian countries Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Czech Development Agency and ESO agreed to start attempts for fund application for a 3-year project starting in February 2014. During their stay in Tbilisi, the ESO delegation including Prof. Gulluoglu had chance to discuss all issues with Hon. Tamara Gvamichava, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Hon. Federica Favi, Italian Ambassador to Georgia, Mr. Albert Sido, Attache for Development Cooperation, Embassy of the Czech Republic, Dr. Jan Vorisek, Health Care Projects Advisor in Georgia, Czech Development Agency and Ms. Ketevan Egadze, Assistant to Italian Ambassador in Georgia. “I hope this collaboration among Czech, Italian, Georgian and Turkish officials will bring a fresh and effective restoration on oncology health care system in this part of the world which I believe will make these countries and Turkey come close to each other regarding health-related quality” said Prof. Gulluoglu after his observations in Tbilisi.
