Dr. Cem Yılmaz completed his medical training at Ankara University School of Medicine in 2001. He had his general surgery residency training at Ankara Numune Training Hospital between 2001-2006. Dr. Yılmaz did his obligatory service in Rize Ardeşen Hospital after 2006. Later he was assigned as vice chancellor at Mardin Nusaybin Hospital until 2009. Dr. Yılmaz has broad experience on breast, neck endocrine and melanoma surgery. He received advanced training on oncoplastic surgery at European Institute of Oncology, Milan and Euroepan Academy of Senology (EAoS), Dusseldorf in 2009 and 2010. His current expertise covers quality management in cancer centers, establishing cancer centers and breast oncoplastic surgery. Since 2010 Dr. Yılmaz is working as the member of faculty at EAoS, Dusseldorf, in 2010. Until 2013, he worked at Istanbul Italian Hospital as Breast Center Director. Dr. Yılmaz is member of Turkish Society of Surgery, International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC), The Society for Melanoma Research, European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), Breast Surgery International (BSI), International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES), European Society of Breast Disease Specialists (EUSOMA) and European Asian Society of Breast Diseases (EURAMA).

Dr. Cem Yılmaz is currently working at Academic Hospital, Istanbul as a breast surgeon and he is the general secretary of SENATURK since its establishment.
